About us

We are the Foxlight family

And we want to share the experience of farming truly seasonal, wildly beautiful blooms with everyone

Foxlight Flower Farm started as a seed of an idea in October 2021.

Inspired by Grandad Hat’s dinner plate dahlias grown on his Ninfield allotment, the cut flowers we grew in our own back garden during lockdown and the wildflowers we sowed for the bees on our land – we wanted to share the experience of picking and enjoying truly seasonal, wildly beautiful, scented blooms that you can’t buy in the supermarket or high street florist with everyone.

We spent winter 2021 engrossed in horticultural books, studying Instagram accounts of other flower farmers, drawing up bed plans, researching flower varieties that would bloom in our first Summer and finding mentors within the flower farming community with whom we swapped labour for wisdom.

This is our labour of love and everything on the farm we have built and made ourselves; from hornbeam fenceposts cut from our little patch of woodland, to the watering system fed by our freshwater stream to the 30+ varieties of flower we have grown from seed.

Our Foxlight Family includes the @Plot5MTB crew who loan us their digger and dumper and who dig bike trails in the top field, Wealden Drainage who gently shares their wealth of local natural knowledge, Electric Peach my desk job cheerleaders, and last, but definitely not least: Betsy and Honey, the Foxlight dogs.

Foxlight Founder, Lucy is also a qualified life coach and offers Coaching Under Canvas on-site at Foxlight in the summer months, in Bluebell, one of our 5m bell tents

We can’t wait to share what we’ve built with you
